Fashion Friday 11 – Men’s Fall Basics

7 Oct

I love wearing black head to toe, but I like how this dark blue blazer causes contrast to his outfit.

Plaid button ups look great underneath a black leather motorcycle jacket.

Combat boots can be found anywhere from Urban Outfitters to your local thrift shop. You don’t have to drop $100’s of dollars on these bad boys.

A denim jacket looks great with almost anything. Get one.

Aztec print is everywhere. I found this recently at a Goodwill in Charlotte, NC.

Man-clutch, plaid, vest and a layered wrist. Did he forget anything?

Fashion Friday 9 – Facial Hair…Man’s Best Accessory.

26 Aug

Over the last few years men trying out moustaches and various styles of beards has become very popular. The fashion industry and numerous celebrities have helped make facial hair man’s best accessory.

As a man who doesn’t have much hair on my head, it’s nice to know I have so many options for my face.

I would say this is the typical length of my beard.

His moustache has a preppy “Old Hollywood” look to it.

Typically I’m not a goatee fan, but this model wears it well.

I met this lovely ginger at Best Friends Day in Richmond, VA. His long red beard definitely compliments his outrageous personality.

Stephan Hilpold (Fashion Director, derStandard) rocks this dark denim western shirt and the multi-colored braided belt breaks up his outfit nicely. Stephan’s groomed beard still allows him to have a clean and classic look.

Even young celebrities like Zac Efron have experimented with facial hair. Zac may have to wait a few more years till his beard grows in a bit fuller but he still looks great.

My favorite beard and personal style that I’ve seen recently is from this gentleman. His salt and pepper hair and beard look so dapper with his gray suit.

If you are a fan of facial hair, check out these blogs dedicated to it.
