There is no stopping NCB Jewelry! In 2007, designer Natalie Blin finished her apprenticeship with Kristin Hanson in NYC (then jeweler for Oscar de la Renta), and moved to Nashville to start what she thought would be a small local jewelry line. She began buying her favorite semi-precious gemstones and creating jewelry as wearable art. It turned out that she wasn’t the only person desiring the uniqueness of a natural gemstone and the beauty of intricate wiring and detailing. Natalie’s business has since taken off and her designs can be found in almost a dozen stores nationwide.
Here in 2012, NCB Jewelry is expanding even further. These beautiful pieces can now be found at Two Old Hippies in the Gulch! Stop by and check out these one of a kind pieces for yourself. Just like the NCB Jewelry customer, no two items are exactly alike.

It’s taken me a few days to figure out who I think the Best Dressed winner is for the 2012 Oscars. There were some extremely tough contenders this year so I had to take my time to decide.
Can you even believe Rooney Mara isn’t my top pick? She got beat by her could be Grandma. Meryl Streep is my Best Dressed choice and not just because this dress looks like it came out of my closet.

I attended Ovvio Arte’s gallery reception of Tender Moments by Exhibitionist Garland Gallaspy last Thursday. My friend Janal Montagna and I hit the scene to capture what Nashville’s finest were wearing. The event was well attended, yet intimate enough to capture the Style Profiles we were seeking. Here are some of the looks on Nashville’s style horizon.

There was an event about a week ago at Hutton Hotel where NFW made some announcements and got us all giddy about the things that are to come. The people/place/fashions were beautiful and I had a blast catching up with friends…some of whom I haven’t seen since NFW 2011.

I despise boring dresses. D E S P I S E. I can’t handle that the dresses on the “best dressed” list are always the super typical ones with a tight fit, a small amount of sparkle and almost zero jewelry. That is just so LA and so overdone.
I was pleasantly surprised with this year’s Golden Globe clothing choices. Some of the ladies really brought it and stepped out of the normal mold. It was actually an exciting red carpet. Who knew?!
